Illinois Mobile Pet Counseling

Consultative Services

Whether you’re a new or experienced pet owner, you may have questions about how to care for your pet, especially when new conditions arise. For your convenience, Full Circle Animal Health Care offers consultative services to help you be more equipped to care for your pet from home. We offer behavior, nutrition, and allergy consultations—all of which consist of an in-depth, 1-hour discussion and a thorough physical exam.

Allergy Counseling (Including Allergy Testing and Immunotherapy)

Allergy consultations are formulated to address the precise reason why your pet is itching and scratching. Each consultation is designed to reveal the most probable source of the allergy and to develop a treatment and prevention protocol unique to your pet. Allergy consultations can be lengthy, as some allergies have more than one cause. Please refrain from bathing your pet or administering antihistamines (like Benadryl) to your pet for seven days prior to the appointment, and have ready all current medications, supplements, and food/treats (with labels) at your first consult.

Nutritional Counseling

Nutritional consultations are formulated to address all aspects of your pet’s nutritional status to find the most appropriate nutritional program based on your pet’s unique body type and calculated ideal weight. Please have all current pet food items, including their nutritional labels, available at your first consult.

Behavior Counseling

Behavioral consultations are formulated to address all aspects of your pet’s behavior to find the most appropriate form of behavioral modification specifically tailored to fit your pet. Most minor behavioral issues can be resolved with a single 1-hour consultation and a few follow-up appointments. Other issues may be more complicated and require a more in-depth, more extensive consultation, followed by a longer follow-up time period and additional training with a certified trainer. Behavioral issues are seldom “cut and dry” and do require a significant time commitment from you as the owner.

Weight Management

If your pet can benefit from losing a few pounds, a weight loss program can be developed specifically for your pet’s needs. We can perform additional testing if necessary. Please have all current pet food items, including their nutritional labels, available at your first consult.
